Valentine Card with a side of Christmas

Inspired by a Pinterest post, a member of a card swap I was part of, made really cute snowflake cards. It was incredibly popular, Cathy also posted on this card as well I decided to make valentines in the same manner. I had just gotten my Tim Holtz by Sizzix  movers and shapers with cupid, and was anxious to use them.

Cupid cards: Sizzix dies by Tim Holtz; Autumn Leaves card bases; Dollarama gems; Bazzill cardstock; Hot of the Press patterned paper; unknown shiny red, cordin, staples, and chipboard; Stampin’ Up! Verse; Tim Holtz Distress and CTMH inks; and Best Creation foam squares.

I love using negatives from die cuts, talk about added value, not to mention, time-saver. The great advantage to this method is that with 9 passes through the machine (pairing cardstock and chip glued along outside edges, not centre) you can make 27 different projects! Here are some cards and tags from this past Christmas to see what I mean.

Unfortunately I do not know the original source of the snowflake card. I wanted to say “thanks for your genius”. It really inspired me.
Enjoy!
